"IT becomes more complicated and expensive each year, with the need for on-site services to cover trouble-shooting, installations and maintenance, not to mention the continual updating of applications and Windows. So when the time came for us to open our Manchester office, we wanted to shed this burden and yet be flexible, after all, another office was also new to us.
Working with Precedence, they offered DaaS (Desktop-as-a-Service) delivering a hosted desktop from the cloud. We continue to use our old PC and laptop workstations without having the need to set-up or configure access writes, software installs or have a need for local support.Precedence set-up our entire environment in the cloud too. In our business, we use a bespoke software solution for costing. Precedence worked with the developer to ensure this was accessible in our DaaS solution along with our own dedicated domain with file-server storage and control. All of this is backed up automatically so our staff do not have to worry about taking home tapes, they can even access their desktop at home or on the go.
We now feel lighter and more agile with the IT tools to address the needs of our business and customers."
