Serial console
If the NetManager has its serial port connected to another machine with a null-modem cable, this will allow the rest of the boot process to be controlled from a terminal program (such as Hyperterm or kermit) on that machine. This is useful for remotely fixing a machine that will not boot.
To switch to a serial console, use the Boot Menu or type consdev com0 at the bootloader prompt.
The usual serial port set up is:
- 9600 baud
 - 8 data bits
 - no parity
 - 1 stop bit
 - Hardware flow control
