Voicemail configuration
Associating a mailbox wih a phone
- Log onto web-portal
- Go to Features > Mailboxes
- Check that mailbox exists. If mailbox does not exist:
- Click on Add>>
- Enter unique mailbox number (cannot be changed afterwards) - can probably match full extension number
- Enter Description
- Enter email address in Notify backup email addresses if you want voicemails to be sent via email too
- Take note of PIN
- Click Save
- Go to Features > Telephone Lines
- Click on the number of line you wish to alter
- Scroll down to Mailbox for message waiting light and automatic voicemail access in the line settings
- Select the mailbox you would like to associate with the phone from the drop-down menu
- Click Save
This will be picked up automatically by a standard automatically provisioned phone, but if you have phones that are manually configured, set the voice mail button to dial *1.
Example, based on wired Yealink:
- Press Menu
- Press 3 (Settings)
- Press 4 (Messages)
- Press 1 (Voice Mail)
- Press 2 (Set Voice Mail Code)
- Press Delete to get rid of any existing settings
- Quickly press * twice to get * (otherwise you will get .)
- Press 1 so that it reads *1
- Press Save
