Making calls

You do NOT need to dial 9 for an outside line

The phone will only send what you have dialed to the phone system when:

  • You press the Dial or Send button (think of this like pressing Return or clicking Submit)
  • A few seconds have passed (by default 5) so it is certain you have finished dialling

Picking up calls from other phones

If another phone in your group is ringing, dial ** (and then Dial or Send) to pick it up.

Listening to voicemail

Press the voicemail (envelope) button or dial *1. When in voicemail, press 1 for new messages. When listening to a message, press 5 to repeat it or 7 to delete the current message and play the next one.

Setting your voicemail unavailable message

Press the voicemail (envelope) button or dial *1 to go into voicemail. Press 0 to go into mailbox options and then 1 to set your unavailable message.

Transferring a call

  1. Press the Transfer/Xfer/XFER button
  2. Dial extension to transfer to and press the Dial or Send button
  3. Hangup if you want to just transfer without announcing it
  4. If the new recipient answers, announce it and then just hang up
  5. If they do not answer or they refuse to take the call, press the End button which will stop the call to the recipient and put the caller on hold. Press the Resume button to get to the original caller
