Pickup

Call pickup

Extensions can be set to be part of one or more pickup groups. If a phone is ringing, then other phones in the same pickup group can answer the call by dialing **.

Note that on VoIP phones, the phone will only send what you have dialed to the phone system when:

  • You press the Dial or Send button (think of this like pressing Return or clicking Submit)
  • A few seconds have passed so it is certain you have finished dialling

Here is a photo of the dialling screen on a Precedence PTA handset. You can press the button below Dial to immediately send the pickup request:
