Installing and using LSI MegaRaid tools on XenServer/Citrix Hypervisor
Tested on Citrix Hypervisor 8.0 and XenServer 7.1
Installation
- Download 8-07-14_MegaCLI.zip
- Extract file from zip. Its contents are:

MegaCli-8.07.14-1.noarch.rpm. Copy this into root's home area on your XenServer - At a root prompt, run
rpm -ivh MegaCli-8.07.14-1.noarch.rpmto install the package:[root@xenserver01 ~]# rpm -ivh MegaCli-8.07.14-1.noarch.rpm Preparing... ################################# [100%] Updating / installing... 1:MegaCli-8.07.14-1 ################################# [100%]
- You can check the package is installed by using
ls /opt/MegaRAID/MegaCli:[root@xenserver01 ~]# ls /opt/MegaRAID/MegaCli install.log libstorelibir-2.so libstorelibir-2.so.14.07-0 MegaCli64
Usage
Check status of RAID arrays
Command: MegaCli64 -LDInfo -Lall -aALL
